Giovanna and Costa's Wedding in St Neots and Longstowe Hall, Cambridge

Congratulations to Giovanna and Costa on their
wedding day on Sunday 25th July. The wedding
ceremony took place in at St Joseph’s catholic
church in St Neots, just outside Huntingdon with
the reception at one of my favourite wedding
venues, Longstowe Hall, Cambridgeshire.
I met up with Costa and his Best man at a hotel nearby which stood near an industrial estate. It was great to get some sharp lines into the photography to create some really funky shots of Costa. Next I went round to see Giovanna who looked absolutely stunning even before she had her wedding gown on!! After taking some beautiful photographs here I left for the church. The service was lovely and took place in one of the most colourful churches I have seen, so perfect for the happy couple. Soon after we went on to the stunning reception venue, Longstowe Hall, which is delightful. I photographed the family groups here and took some wonderful romantic shots of Giovanna and Costa in the beautiful surroundings of this privately owned home. I Can’t wait for them both to see all the shots.... until then...

Rachel and David's Wedding at the Doubletree Hotel, Cambridge

Congratulations to Rachel and David on their
wedding day on Saturday 19th June. The whole
wedding including Rachel and David’s preparations,
the ceremony and reception took place at the lovely
cambridge
wedding venue, the Doubletree by Hilton,
in the heart of Cambridge.
I arrived early to photograph all those little details I just love to include in the final album, the dress, shoes, perfume, the rings and flowers etc. Rachel was very chilled out and actually wondering what to do with herself!! Then after taking some shots of David and the lads, with and without beers, the ceremony followed at 2pm. We took the groups inside, as the weather was a bit on the chilly side, however we did manage to get some great shots of the happy couple in the hotels beautiful gardens.

Congratulations to Tori and Quge on their wedding

The day started with Quentin and the boys at the hotel. The lads were finding it hard to cool down using a combination of air conditioning, desk fans and Corrona beer! After we took some cool shots here I went of to Tori’s parents house in Girton. Everyone was very calm and looked absolutely stunning. Paul from Runhams Cars took Tori and her dad to the church - bang on time. After a lovely ceremony and a few family shots at the church we headed off to the Doubletree Hotel. The happy couple made their entrance via a punt on the River Cam. A fantastic wedding and a beautiful summer’s day in Cambridge.

Sara and Robert's Wedding in St Ives and Bedford Lodge, Suffolk

Sara and Robert had an amazing wedding day despite the erratic British weather! The wedding photography started in Bluntisham at Robert’s parents house with shots of the boys, before moving over to Brampton to capture Sara and the girls. Everyone looked fabulous for this very special occasion. It was great to see Sam again, a very talented makeup artist from Cambridge. Even though Sara was fashionably late for the Church, everything went without a hitch! Back at the hotel, we managed to get some great photographs inside and the reception room looked nothing short of stunning.

Julie and Chris had a fantastic wedding and I am so pleased the weather was kind to them. Whilst it was very cold, the sun shone for the best part of the day. The church looked amazing and was beautifully decorated with the most amazing array of flowers. After a few family photos at the Church we headed back to Needhams restaurant in Witchford for the reception. I can’t wait to show Julie and Chris all the pictures when they are back from Honeymoon.

Lin got ready at the Holiday Inn hotel, where we took some lovely preparation shots, as well as with her parents and bridesmaids. I then met up with Ari and his parents, Best Man and ushers. Everyone was very prompt which meant I could get some really fab shots.. the cathedral looked amazing as usual. After a lovely ceremony we took some shots of the happy couple around the cathedral grounds be fore going on to the West Wing at Ickworth House. The weather was the best I have had this year - warm, sunny and no wind! Having photographed Lin’s sister’s wedding about three years ago it was nice to see lots of familiar faces - so I must make sure to photography Ari’s brothers wedding... Enjoy the preview.

The day started for me with Tom and the boys at his parents house in Ely. After a few fun shots in the neighbour’s garden I headed over to Bluntisham where Caroline’s parents live for the preparations. Caroline looked fantastic in her beautiful Ian Stewart wedding dress and beautifully complimented by her gorgeous bridesmaids. The happy couple met when they were at Kings School together, which permits a wedding ceremony at the Cathedral. As you will see from the preview the Cathedral is absolutely stunning, and the perfect place to marry. After a few family photos we headed to a wedding venue called The Red Barn just outside Downham Market in Norfolk. This old barn has loads of character and with all the tables dressed and candles lit it feels so romantic. The speeches were some of the best I have seen, with so much humour, there was lots of laughter that resonated round the barn. Enjoy the preview!

Jon and Liz were students at Cambridge University some years ago with Liz studying at Jesus College and Jon at Magdalene which is a beautiful college set right on the River Cam in the heart of the City. I met up with the boys at College quite early and got all their shots in the bag before 10.45am - impressive for a 12.30pm service. Although Liz was a little delayed we still managed to “get her to the church on time”. The ceremony was fantastic with friends singing in the choir that was also conducted by Jon’s father. A choir in a college chapel really does sound amazing - I have heard a few and it still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up! After the ceremony the guests played croquet on the lawn while we did some lovely pictures of the happy couple. Enjoy the preview....

I started off with the boys who were very organised and on time, which was a pleasant surprise! The ceremony was at a wonderful Cambridge wedding venue Longstowe Hall which is a private house set in the most gorgeous grounds. I love working at this venue. After the civil service there was also a jewish ceremony that took place under the Hooper outside. I got a fantastic shot across the lake when a swan flew into the picture and landed with its wings out stretched - just perfect timing! Enjoy the preview.

Suzie got ready at her parents house in Stretham, with her bridesmaids and somewhat chatty flowergirl! Suzie wore an Ian Stewart dress, who makes such stunning bridal gowns. I met up with the boys at St Mary’s Church, which always attracts lots of locals who wait for the bride to arrive. Although Paul was a bit nervous and couldn’t even stomach a G+T he was in good spirits ;-) ! The ceremony went really well and the sun stayed with us for most of the day. Suzie got ready at her parents house in Stretham, with her bridesmaids and somewhat chatty flowergirl! Suzie wore an Ian Stewart dress, who makes such stunning bridal gowns. I met up with the boys at St Mary’s Church, which always attracts lots of locals who wait for the bride to arrive. Although Paul was a bit nervous and couldn’t even stomach a G+T he was in good spirits ;-) ! The ceremony went really well and the sun stayed with us for most of the day. I got some gorgeous pictures of the happy couple at the lovely wedding reception near Newmarket at Swynford Paddocks - so enjoy the preview.

After meeting up with the boys at the church in the morning, I went into Cambridge as Kate got ready at the University Arms Hotel. Even though Kate was so nervous it certainly doesn’t show in the pictures - I just kept saying “Its fine you don’t need to eat anything, just run on the adrenaline!” The ceremony was fantastic and the church packed with 150 guests! Followed by an amazing drinks reception at Longstowe Hall, this really was a beautiful wedding...Enjoy the preview.

Probably the hottest day so far this year helped the wedding of Natalie and David run so smoothly. It also gave us the opportunity to take advantage of the great location of this fantastic venue. Right in the heart of the City of Cambridge, meant just a short walk from the hotel, we could take some fantastic pictures that really sum up what Cambridge is all about - amazing architecture, bicycles and the university. What a scorching summers day Saturday was. After meeting with the boys at the church in West Wratting, I went on to Joanna’s parents house where she was getting ready. I knew her face was familiar when we first discussed the wedding plans - I had photographed the family some 10 years earlier when I worked for a Cambridge studio. I recognised all the family pictures in the house; small world as they say!
Anyway the wedding was beautiful and their reception was back at the house in a wonderful marquee. It was great to work with some of my favourite wedding professionals on the day including the fantastic Headspin Video.

A beautiful wedding in our local church saw the marriage of Rebecca and Andrew. Having lived in the village for almost three years, this was the first wedding I have photographed at Burwell Church. Many of Mélanie's family came over from France for the wedding, and even managed to get me speaking some French again - I haven't done that since I was at school! I love working at this hotel - it has so much to offer - great light in the bedrooms, interesting abstract art inside, and a mixture of old and new outside.

Clare & Simon's Wedding - 21 June 2008

Our warmest regards go to Clare and Simon on their
wedding at the Village church in Swineshead,
Bedfordshire and reception at Longstowe Hall.
The day started so wet that I brought three umbrellas, raincoats and my wife, Kirsty, to help on Saturday. It had forecast rain all day but I can not believe how lucky we were. The wedding was at 12.30pm and the rain stopped at about 12pm, but a very important guest got lost and so the ceremony was delayed by 25 minutes! I wouldn't have liked to be in Simons shoes - although he was told that it wasn't Clare holding up the proceedings.
Anyway the rain stayed away for the family photos, and we made our way to Longstowe. I was able to get some great shots of the newlyweds after the guests made their way to the marquee.

Catherine and Luke's Wedding - 14 June 2008

The day started at the Belfry Hotel in Cambourne, where at 12.26 there was a fly pass of the Battle of Britain that was on its way to the Queens birthday celebration. After Catherine's preparations we went on to the beautiful church at Longstowe village. With a full Guard of Honour, Catherine made a grand entrance to a very memorable service. After the service the happy couple walked down to their drinks reception which was effortlessly hosted by Mr and Mrs Bevan. A wonderful meal was served and the speeches were made bewteen each course - a really great way of breaking up what can often be quite drawn out. Everyone had a great time and the evening saw everyone Kayleigh (sp?) dancing... a truly spectacular day!

Congratulations to Jo and David on their wedding at
Quy Mill, near Cambridge on Friday.
During an intimate civil ceremony at this little hotel just outside Cambridge Jo and David were married on a lovely warm day. After arriving back from the hairdressers a little later than planned Jo was assisted into her dress by a very proud mum and, probably one of the most helpful bridesmaids I have every seen on wedding day. Usually bridesmaids are all too concerned about themselves to worry about the bride - but not Donna - she was at Jo's service all day!

After arriving back from the hairdressers a little later than planned Jo was assisted into her dress by a very proud mum and, probably one of the most helpful bridesmaids I have every seen on wedding day. Usually bridesmaids are all too concerned about themselves to worry about the bride - but not Donna - she was at Jo's service all day!

Cass and Carl's Wedding - 10 May 2008

Congratulations to Cass and Carl on their wedding
day at the Double Tree Hotel Cambridge on Saturday.
Being a civil ceremony all at one venue make sit easier fro me to dart around and get all the important photos, without having to worry too much about potential traffic and parking problems! Cass was assisted by her very friendly bridesmaids and little niece Ursula who was a real poser for the camera! The weather was also warm and sunny and I think most of Cambridge was out and about, especially those fooling about on the river...
Anyway a great day was had by all and below is a sneak preview of some of the pictures taken. I managed to photograph all of the guests so check out your picture here when all the images go live from 28th May

Jemma and Paul's Wedding - 2 May 2008

Congratulations to Jemma and Paul on their wedding
in the beautiful City of Cambridge on Friday.
What a fabulous way to start the bank holiday weekend! A very grand church in Cambridge was the venue for the ceremony, and I am glad my wife was available to drive for me as we all know how bad the parking is in Cambridge. Jemma arrived with plenty of time to spare, and boy was Paul pleased to see her. After a de tour due to a big accident on the A14 I eventually got to Swynford Paddocks, a fantastic venue in Six Mile Bottom. I love working here as the staff are great and Neil does such a fab job for every couple that celebrate their wedding here.
Anyway I got some awesome pictures of Jemma & Paul in the grounds, and also got some really nice portraits of all the guests - so check out your photos when they are all online from 16th May

Hi Everyone
Well I had a great time at Jo and Jason's wedding on Valentines Day. The weather was a bit chilly after all the sunny days we had, but everyone knows that an overcast day is usually better for photography. Jo surprised Jason with a Classic car for the ride back to the reception, although she was a bit worred when it had not arrived at the house after I left. After seeing it on my way to Cambridge I gave her a call just to re assure her!
We got some awesome pictures around the entrance to Kings School grounds where she went to school. We then walked along Pea's Hill to the river and finally to Peacocks, where they had the reception.
