Giovanna and Costa's Wedding in St Neots and Longstowe Hall, Cambridge

Congratulations to Giovanna and Costa on their
wedding day on Sunday 25th July. The wedding
ceremony took place in at St Joseph’s catholic
church in St Neots, just outside Huntingdon with
the reception at one of my favourite wedding
venues, Longstowe Hall, Cambridgeshire.
I met up with Costa and his Best man at a hotel nearby which stood near an industrial estate. It was great to get some sharp lines into the photography to create some really funky shots of Costa. Next I went round to see Giovanna who looked absolutely stunning even before she had her wedding gown on!! After taking some beautiful photographs here I left for the church. The service was lovely and took place in one of the most colourful churches I have seen, so perfect for the happy couple. Soon after we went on to the stunning reception venue, Longstowe Hall, which is delightful. I photographed the family groups here and took some wonderful romantic shots of Giovanna and Costa in the beautiful surroundings of this privately owned home. I Can’t wait for them both to see all the shots.... until then...

Farah and Oliver's Wedding in Cheveley and Bedford Lodge, Suffolk

Congratulations to Farah and Oliver on their
wedding day on Saturday 10th July. The wedding
ceremony took place in Cheveley, a little village
just outside Newmarket with the reception at one of
my favourite wedding
venues, the Bedford Lodge Hotel, Newmarket
Suffolk.
The day started at Oliver’s mum’s home in Cheveley, such a pretty house just set back from the church. After doing a few photographs here, I headed over to meet Farah who was getting ready at the Bedford Lodge. Farah had her two lovely bridesmaids to help her get ready, although I found myself helping too!! It was great to bump into Tolly who is a fantastic florist who always pulls out all the stops for his couples. The ceremony was at 2pm and Farah arrived in style in the most amazing Rolls Royce. After a few family pictures at the church, we headed back to the reception for some lovely couple photographs and drinks. A beautiful summers wedding on a beautiful English summers day...

Louise and Matt's Wedding in Welwyn and Theobalds Park, Hertfordshire

Congratulations to Louise and Matt on their wedding
day on Saturday 3rd July. The wedding ceremony took
place at a beautiful church in Ayot St Peter, Old
Welwyn, Hertfordshire. The reception was also in
Hertfordshire at the very historic
mansion house wedding venue, Theobalds
Park near Cheshunt.
I met up with Matt and the lads at his Mums house in Stevenage on another scorcher of a day, especially for England! Matt had a beautiful Aston Martin to drive to the church, so I just had to get some shots with the car. I then went on to Louise’s parents, just across town where her and all the bridesmaids were getting ready. I got some great pictures of the girls before heading over to the church. This has to be one of the most beautiful churches I have seen, just so different and set in lovely gardens.... After the service we go on to Theobalds Park, a wonderful mansion house set in enormous parkland. There was some great photo opportunities with some lovely grounds, so I can’t wait to show the new Mr & Mrs all the shots when they return from honeymoon.....

Congratulations to Louise and Adam on their wedding
day on Friday 2nd July. The wedding ceremony was at
St Mary and St Botolph in Whitton, Ipswich. They
celebrated at the wonderful Suffolk
wedding venue, the Belstead Brook, Hotel
also in Ipswich.
The day started for me with the boys at Adams parents house, although a slight hitch with shirt sizes meant we were a bit delayed. At 25˚c at 10.30am it was going to be hot hot hot! Across town at Louise’s parents house the girls we pretty much ready and I got some lovely shots inside as well as in the garden. After a lovely service we took a few group shots and then headed on to the reception. Having photographed Jade and Danny’s wedding here already, I knew we would get some great shots of the happy couple around the hotel. Can’t wait to show them all the shots when they are back.....

Rachel and David's Wedding at the Doubletree Hotel, Cambridge

Congratulations to Rachel and David on their
wedding day on Saturday 19th June. The whole
wedding including Rachel and David’s preparations,
the ceremony and reception took place at the lovely
cambridge
wedding venue, the Doubletree by Hilton,
in the heart of Cambridge.
I arrived early to photograph all those little details I just love to include in the final album, the dress, shoes, perfume, the rings and flowers etc. Rachel was very chilled out and actually wondering what to do with herself!! Then after taking some shots of David and the lads, with and without beers, the ceremony followed at 2pm. We took the groups inside, as the weather was a bit on the chilly side, however we did manage to get some great shots of the happy couple in the hotels beautiful gardens.

Victoria and Quentin's Wedding in Girton and Doubletree Hotel, Cambridge

Congratulations to Tori and Quge on their wedding
day on Saturday 5th June. The wedding ceremony took
place at St Andrew’s Church, Girton in
Cambridgeshire followed by the reception at the
Doubletree

The day started with Quentin and the boys at the hotel. The lads were finding it hard to cool down using a combination of air conditioning, desk fans and Corrona beer! After we took some cool shots here I went of to Tori’s parents house in Girton. Everyone was very calm and looked absolutely stunning. Paul from Runhams Cars took Tori and her dad to the church - bang on time. After a lovely ceremony and a few family shots at the church we headed off to the Doubletree Hotel. The happy couple made their entrance via a punt on the River Cam. A fantastic wedding and a beautiful summer’s day in Cambridge.

Elisa and Danny's Wedding in Newmarket and Bedford Lodge, Suffolk

Congratulations to Elisa and Danny on their wedding

place at the St. Etheldreda Church, Newmarket
Suffolk followed by the reception at the Bedford
Lodge Hotel, in Newmarket Suffolk.
What a scorcher! I met with Danny and the boys at the Bedford Lodge in the morning before heading over to Kennet where Elisa was getting ready at her parents house. After taking some great shots of Elisa with her parents and bridesmaids, I left for the church. Elisa got to the church on time, but her bridesmaids didn’t! They were about 10 minutes late...so we waited. Father Michael gave a lovely service and the church looked amazing filled with sunshine. Everyone headed back to the Bedford Lodge for the reception where we took some family photos, and great shots of Elisa and Danny together. I had a great time and really enjoyed everyone’s company!

Pam and Will's Wedding in Essex and Much Hadham, Hertfordshire

Congratulations to Pam and Will on their wedding
day on Friday 14th May. The wedding took place at
All Saints Church, Writtle, Essex and the reception
held at Will's parents house in Hertfordshire.
Pam and Will had a lovely day for their wedding which started in the pretty village of Writtle in Essex. After popping in to say hello to the girls, I met with Will and the boys at the Church. They went off for a drink while I went back to take photographs of Pam and the girls, I was amazed they were all ready when I got back! Pam walked to the Chruch as it was so close to their home. After a lovely ceremony we headed over to Much Hadham, where Wills parents were hosting the reception with a marquee. The most amazing thing about the wedding, apart from Pam and Will ;-) , was the wedding cake.....

Sara and Robert had an amazing wedding day despite the erratic British weather! The wedding photography started in Bluntisham at Robert’s parents house with shots of the boys, before moving over to Brampton to capture Sara and the girls. Everyone looked fabulous for this very special occasion. It was great to see Sam again, a very talented makeup artist from Cambridge. Even though Sara was fashionably late for the Church, everything went without a hitch! Back at the hotel, we managed to get some great photographs inside and the reception room looked nothing short of stunning.

The church looked amazing and was beautifully decorated with the most amazing array of flowers. The guests enjoyed a drinks reception at this beautiful wedding venue in Suffolk. Shelly and Tim’s wedding was a small intimate celebration with a civil ceremony at this beautiful country wedding venue, an ideal backdrop for an Autumn wedding. The weather was just as you would expect the perfect October day, crisp, still and sunny! Shelly got ready with her bridesmaids at the hotel and Tim arrived nice and early so I could do some great photographs before the wedding. The ceremony room was decorated with little candles and a black and white theme with the seating. All the guests enjoyed a drinks reception afterwards before going through for dinner in the stunning marquee. Enjoy the preview!

Traveling from Cambridge meant that I left quite early and ended up at Notley Abbey at 10am! Still I much prefer to be early and given the fine weather it was lovely to wonder round and search for photographic locations. Both Sara and Chris got ready at Notley Abbey, which made my job easier to catch all the preparations. The ceremony went really well and we were able to take most of the photos outside. The close-up magician was fantastic leaving everyone guessing “just how did he do that?” After the group photo everyone went through to dinner which was set in a beautiful 13th century stone barn (originally the Monks' Refectory) preceded by the speeches. It certainly looked like everyone, especially the happy couple had a fabulous time...Enjoy the preview.

I met with the boys before lunch in the beautiful Essex village of Finchingfield. Ed was very relaxed and we got some great shots around the village green before the beers got too warm! Laura got ready at her parents house in Hempstead which was also the venue for the reception, with a fabulous marquee in the garden. Laura looked absolutely stunning in her simple but elegant wedding gown. After a lovely ceremony at St Andrews Church, just down the road, we came back to Hill Farm for drinks, canapes and photos. The farm gave us the opportunity to get some arty and unusual shots of the happy couple too - always a bonus....Enjoy the preview.

Laura looked absolutely stunning in her simple but elegant wedding gown. After a lovely ceremony at St Andrews Church, just down the road, we came back to Hill Farm for drinks, canapes and photos. Lin got ready at the Holiday Inn hotel, where we took some lovely preparation shots, as well as with her parents and bridesmaids. I then met up with Ari and his parents, Best Man and ushers. Everyone was very prompt which meant I could get some really fab shots.. the cathedral looked amazing as usual. After a lovely ceremony we took some shots of the happy couple around the cathedral grounds be fore going on to the West Wing at Ickworth House. The weather was the best I have had this year - warm, sunny and no wind! The day started for me with Tom and the boys at his parents house in Ely. After a few fun shots in the neighbour’s garden I headed over to Bluntisham where Caroline’s parents live for the preparations. Caroline looked fantastic in her beautiful Ian Stewart wedding dress and beautifully complimented by her gorgeous bridesmaids. The happy couple met when they were at Kings School together, which permits a wedding ceremony at the Cathedral. As you will see from the preview the Cathedral is absolutely stunning, and the perfect place to marry. After a few family photos we headed to a wedding venue called The Red Barn just outside Downham Market in Norfolk. This old barn has loads of character and with all the tables dressed and candles lit it feels so romantic. The speeches were some of the best I have seen, with so much humour, there was lots of laughter that resonated round the barn. Enjoy the preview!

I am glad to say that lots of my couples have been so lucky with the weather this year, considering just how unpredictable it has been. The sun shone all day for Hannah and Stephen. The wedding was at St Peter’s Church in Moulton, a church I am now very familiar with especially as I photographed Hannah’s brothers wedding there some 7 years ago. After a lovely ceremony we went back to the Jockey Club in Newmarket, a very prestigious wedding venue in Suffolk for some photos in a spectacular setting...Enjoy the preview.

I started off with the boys who were very organised and on time, which was a pleasant surprise! The ceremony was at a wonderful Cambridge wedding venue Longstowe Hall which is a private house set in the most gorgeous grounds. I love working at this venue. After the civil service there was also a jewish ceremony that took place under the Hooper outside. I got a fantastic shot across the lake when a swan flew into the picture and landed with its wings out stretched - just perfect timing! Enjoy the preview.

I met up with the boys at St Mary’s Church, which always attracts lots of locals who wait for the bride to arrive. Although Paul was a bit nervous and couldn’t even stomach a G+T he was in good spirits ;-) ! The ceremony went really well and the sun stayed with us for most of the day. I got some gorgeous pictures of the happy couple at the lovely wedding reception near Newmarket at Swynford Paddocks - so enjoy the preview.

What a scorching summers day Saturday was. After meeting with the boys at the church in West Wratting, I went on to Joanna’s parents house where she was getting ready. I knew her face was familiar when we first discussed the wedding plans - I had photographed the family some 10 years earlier when I worked for a Cambridge studio. I recognised all the family pictures in the house; small world as they say!
Anyway the wedding was beautiful and their reception was back at the house in a wonderful marquee. It was great to work with some of my favourite wedding professionals on the day including the fantastic Headspin Video.

Anyway the snow held off and everyone had a fantastic day. Having already photographed Gemma’s sister’s wedding last June it was really nice to see some familiar faces, as normally I only every know the couple before the day. The Church was just stunning with one of the longest aisles in the country. The reception was not far away at Ickworth House. Although a bit breezey (!) we got some wonderful pictures followed by dinner, emotional speeches and a fantastic band. Can’t wait for Sarah and Matt to see all the photos.

St Peter's was probably the biggest and most beautiful church I have seen for a small village. Even though the weather was quite changeable with some fairly hefty showers, after the service we were blessed with a blue sky for the drinks reception, which took place in the grounds of their parents house near the church. The wedding breakfast and evening reception was held in a marquee that looked stunning. The day was professionally managed by Vanessa of Rocks and Frocks -

Nicola looked absolutely amazing in her Ian Stewart dress, and surprised all the guests and especially her new husband, Gary, who all thought that she would be wearing a lighter more classical colour!
It seemed like everything was going on this weekend - the Royal Show, Grand Prix and Wimbledon finals! It was a real pleasure to attend Nicola and Gary's wedding - the venue was a photographers dream - so many great places to take creative pictures. We were also very fortunate not to have to use the umbrellas that were on standby..

I just can not believe how organised this lovely couple are! Jade and Danny were both ready with loads of time to spare, giving us the opportunity to have some time for the pictures without having to rush. The weather was very kind to us, keeping dry and bright all day, and the hotel had some lovely little areas for some great shots of the happy couple.....

Clare & Simon's Wedding - 21 June 2008

Our warmest regards go to Clare and Simon on their
wedding at the Village church in Swineshead,
Bedfordshire and reception at Longstowe Hall.
The day started so wet that I brought three umbrellas, raincoats and my wife, Kirsty, to help on Saturday. It had forecast rain all day but I can not believe how lucky we were. The wedding was at 12.30pm and the rain stopped at about 12pm, but a very important guest got lost and so the ceremony was delayed by 25 minutes! I wouldn't have liked to be in Simons shoes - although he was told that it wasn't Clare holding up the proceedings.
Anyway the rain stayed away for the family photos, and we made our way to Longstowe. I was able to get some great shots of the newlyweds after the guests made their way to the marquee.

It was a little surreal being at Yaxley Hall with a camera as this was where I got married last year. Everything was perfect - Hilary and Mark make such a wonderful couple, and even the weather was nice to everybody. The champagne flowed nicely after the ceremony, whilst the children played and we took the photographs.

Our very best wishes go to Catherine and Luke on
their special day at Longstowe Church and
afterwards at Longstowe Hall.
The day started at the Belfry Hotel in Cambourne, where at 12.26 there was a fly pass of the Battle of Britain that was on its way to the Queens birthday celebration. After Catherine's preparations we went on to the beautiful church at Longstowe village. With a full Guard of Honour, Catherine made a grand entrance to a very memorable service. After the service the happy couple walked down to their drinks reception which was effortlessly hosted by Mr and Mrs Bevan. A wonderful meal was served and the speeches were made bewteen each course - a really great way of breaking up what can often be quite drawn out. Everyone had a great time and the evening saw everyone Kayleigh (sp?) dancing... a truly spectacular day!

The day started at the Belfry Hotel in Cambourne, where at 12.26 there was a fly pass of the Battle of Britain that was on its way to the Queens birthday celebration. After Catherine's preparations we went on to the beautiful church at Longstowe village. With a full Guard of Honour, Catherine made a grand entrance to a very memorable service. After the service the happy couple walked down to their drinks reception which was effortlessly hosted by Mr and Mrs Bevan. A wonderful meal was served and the speeches were made bewteen each course - a really great way of breaking up what can often be quite drawn out. Everyone had a great time and the evening saw everyone Kayleigh (sp?) dancing... a truly spectacular day!

Congratulations to Anna and Nik on their wedding
day at Audley End House in Essex on Saturday.
We were so lucky with the weather for Anna and Nik's day, even though we were all a bit wind swept, and least we didn't have the rain like Sunday! Audley End House is such an amazing setting for a wedding, and even Anna turned the cricketers heads! The day went so smoothly and a great time was had by everyone -

Congratulations to Jo and David on their wedding at
Quy Mill, near Cambridge on Friday.
During an intimate civil ceremony at this little hotel just outside Cambridge Jo and David were married on a lovely warm day. After arriving back from the hairdressers a little later than planned Jo was assisted into her dress by a very proud mum and, probably one of the most helpful bridesmaids I have every seen on wedding day. Usually bridesmaids are all too concerned about themselves to worry about the bride - but not Donna - she was at Jo's service all day!

Cass and Carl's Wedding - 10 May 2008

Congratulations to Cass and Carl on their wedding
day at the Double Tree Hotel Cambridge on Saturday.
Being a civil ceremony all at one venue make sit easier fro me to dart around and get all the important photos, without having to worry too much about potential traffic and parking problems! Cass was assisted by her very friendly bridesmaids and little niece Ursula who was a real poser for the camera! The weather was also warm and sunny and I think most of Cambridge was out and about, especially those fooling about on the river...

Sade and John's Wedding - 9 May 2007

Congratulations to Sade and John on their wedding
day at Bedford Lodge Newmarket last Friday.
On a very hot day, a small crowd many of which were little ones gathered to celebrate Sade and John's special day. Sade's Nigerian roots meant that her father wore traditional dress for the day, and many of her other relations wore such colourful clothes. Their little daughter Lara looked very cute in her special dress. The day went without a hitch and I think everyone enjoyed the sunshine...

Jemma and Paul's Wedding - 2 May 2008

Congratulations to Jemma and Paul on their wedding
in the beautiful City of Cambridge on Friday.
What a fabulous way to start the bank holiday weekend! A very grand church in Cambridge was the venue for the ceremony, and I am glad my wife was available to drive for me as we all know how bad the parking is in Cambridge. Jemma arrived with plenty of time to spare, and boy was Paul pleased to see her. After a de tour due to a big accident on the A14 I eventually got to Swynford Paddocks, a fantastic venue in Six Mile Bottom. I love working here as the staff are great and Neil does such a fab job for every couple that celebrate their wedding here.
Anyway I got some awesome pictures of Jemma & Paul in the grounds, and also got some really nice portraits of all the guests - so check out your photos when they are all online from 16th May

on probably the warmest day of the year so far!
Well the weather was gorgeous, as was the setting at Landwade Church, and their home nearby. As Jo walked down the aisle with her son Jess, I wondered whether Justin would have any fingernails left! Yes Jo was a little late but 15 minutes always seems like an ice age when you are the Groom. Anyway the rest of the day was so relaxed and informal with a long champagne reception where everyone chatted and enjoyed the evening sunshine. I was so pleased with the pictures and hope that you enjoy viewing the sneak preview below.

Hi and many congratulations to Fi and Sam on their
wedding day!
Although the weather was unusually cold on Saturday, the wedding was really buzzing and everyone had a great time. The church was so pretty and just big enough for all the guests! After going back to Broomhill Hotel I got some fab shots of the happy couple inside and out - so thanks to both of you for braving the cold!
I also managed to get lots of pictures of the guests as they went through into dinner so check out your photo when they are all available here from 6th May. We have a policy that the Bride and Groom see all the photos before their guests - so you can VIEW them ALL from 6th May.

Karen and Ben's Wedding - 15 March 2008

Hi and congratulations to Karen and Ben on their
wedding on Saturday.
After the bad weather we had the week before, we really were lucky in Suffolk at the weekend. Although not very warm, we were blessed with a dry and overcast day, which actually makes it easier for better pictures, as you do not have to worry about all those shadows and squinty eyes! It has been a while since I have been to Haughley Park Barn, and what a place it is. Ellie kindly showed me round in the morning (sorry for surprising you!) and kindly let us use the grounds nearer the house for pictures.
Anyway, below is a quick sneaky peak at some of the moments of the day. All images can be viewed and purchased from 6 April. Those of you that picked up a card at the wedding will notice it says 2nd April. Please be aware that the NEW date they will be available from is 6 April. This is due to a change in Karen and Ben's personal appointment to see the images - yes they get to see them all before you!!

Hi Everyone
Well I had a great time at Jo and Jason's wedding on Valentines Day. The weather was a bit chilly after all the sunny days we had, but everyone knows that an overcast day is usually better for photography. Jo surprised Jason with a Classic car for the ride back to the reception, although she was a bit worred when it had not arrived at the house after I left. After seeing it on my way to Cambridge I gave her a call just to re assure her!
We got some awesome pictures around the entrance to Kings School grounds where she went to school. We then walked along Pea's Hill to the river and finally to Peacocks, where they had the reception.
